Waipā Creative Trail 2027 – Artist Expressions of Interest

The Waipā Creative Trail invites Waipā-based artists and creatives to express their interest in taking part in the 2027 Trail. Expressions of Interest are open from 2–16 November 2026.

There are two ways to get involved

1. Solo Open Studio — Open your studio or creative workspace to visitors, giving them a chance to discover your work, see your creative process in action, and connect with you directly. Strong applicants might offer an interesting location, a compelling body of work, an established audience, or a particularly engaging visitor experience.

2. Group Collaboration — Team up with between 2 and 20 other creatives to create a shared Trail stop. This could take the form of a group exhibition, open studios, demonstrations, workshops, installations, or something entirely of your own invention. It's a great opportunity to reach new audiences, collaborate across practices, and strengthen ties within Waipā's creative community.
