Movements – International Exhibition Open Call

CICA Museum is inviting artists from around the world to submit work for *Movements*, an international group exhibition exploring the many dimensions of movement — from the physical movements of nature, bodies, and built structures, to artistic and social movements that reshape culture and society.

The exhibition welcomes work that engages with the fluidity of identity, shifting cultural and sociopolitical boundaries, changing social phenomena, and physical or physiological transformations of the human body.

Eligible media include: photography, 2D digital art, video art, performance art, web art, interactive art, sculpture, painting, and installation.

Exhibition dates: 11–29 November 2026 (subject to change)

Categories:

• Photography & 2D Digital Art — selected works will be printed (10×15" or 10×10"), framed, and installed by CICA staff. Custom sizing available on request (additional fees may apply).
• Video & Interactive Art — projectors and media players provided. Multiple single-channel works may share a projector; exclusive projection or multi-projector needs may incur additional fees.
• Physical Works (Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, Installation) — artists are responsible for shipping costs both ways. 2D works must not exceed 39" (1m) on the longest side; installations no larger than 39×39×79" (1×1×2m). Wall-mounted works must not exceed 10kg.
• Performance — artists may perform in person at CICA Museum or submit instruction-based works. A detailed proposal with requirements is required.

Email up to 3 direct video links and/or up to 5 JPG images (100–500KB recommended), plus your bio, to submission@cicamuseum.com. Use the subject line: *Submission: Movements – [Category] – [Artist's Name]*.

If selected, artists contribute $78 USD (or 110,000 KRW) per piece toward exhibition processing and maintenance.
