A $10,000 cash grant supporting emerging performing artists undertaking full-time tertiary study in music or musical theatre at Ara.
The FAME Emerging Practitioner Award offers a $10,000 cash grant to support emerging and aspiring performing artists in their education and development. Funded by the FAME Trust (Fund for Acting and Musical Endeavours), this annual award is open to students enrolled or planning to enrol full-time in the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music Theatre at Ara Institute of Canterbury in Christchurch.
To be eligible, you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, and have completed at least one year of tertiary education before commencing full-time study.
To apply, you'll need to complete an online application form, write a personal statement of 300–500 words explaining why you're the ideal candidate, and provide two referee reports — one from an Ara tutor and one character referee — using the templates provided on the Ara website.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get meaningful financial backing as you pursue a career in music or musical theatre performance.
