Hamilton City Council / Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum & Gallery
Full-time curator role at Waikato Museum, developing exhibitions and collections across history, art, tangata whenua, and science.
Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum & Gallery is looking for a Curator to join their curatorial and collections team in Hamilton. This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of around $88,000 depending on skills and experience.
As Curator, you'll play a key part in developing innovative exhibitions that engage and inspire visitors. You'll build and care for the Museum's collections, conduct and share research as a specialist in one or more of the Museum's four collecting areas — taonga Māori, social history, art, and science — and contribute to education and public programmes.
The team works collaboratively and values flexibility, so you'll need to be comfortable both working independently and contributing to a shared kaupapa.
