The Los Angeles Review is open year-round for general submissions and runs its annual Awards reading period from 1 April through 31 July 2026. Submissions are welcome from writers anywhere in the world — you don't need to be based in Los Angeles.
All submissions must be previously unpublished and are accepted online via Submittable only. General submissions carry a $3 USD reading fee; award submissions are $20 USD. Simultaneous submissions are fine as long as you note this in your cover letter. Response time is typically two to four months.
