Onassis ONX
A four-month incubation programme for emerging creators working at the intersection of art and technology, with seed funding and an Athens showcase.
ONX Seeds is the foundational incubation programme of Onassis ONX — the Onassis Foundation's global platform for art and advanced technologies. Open to Greek and international emerging creators and collectives working in art, design, and creative technology, the 2026 edition is themed *Soft Circuits for Hard Times*.
The theme asks what it might mean to build technologies that can pause, forget, slow down, or care — that resist the hardness of extraction, acceleration, and automation. ONX Seeds invites artists, creative technologists, designers, game makers, performers, and interdisciplinary teams to propose works that test technology's assumptions rather than simply use it: transforming datasets into stories, interfaces into encounters, and prototypes into forms of care, refusal, or collective imagination.
Encouraged formats include micro-scale technologies, sound and music works, projections and installations, media-based performances, and small-scale site-responsive projects for liminal spaces.
What selected participants receive:
The programme culminates in ONX.Exhibition.Athens.2027 (17–21 March 2027) at Onassis Ready in Athens — a public showcase and industry meetings event designed to connect projects with curators, presenters, and future funding pathways.
Proposals should be realistic in scope, executable within four months, and resolve into an exhibitable prototype. Works requiring large-scale scenography, industrial technologies, or permanent architectural interventions are not suited to this programme.
Applications require: a project logline and description, visitor experience outline, technical requirements, mood board/deck, portfolio, production plan, and budget. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed online (27 November – 4 December 2026).
