Pairs/Peers – Call for Proposals

Percy Thomson Gallery is seeking proposals from creative practitioners based in the Taranaki and Whanganui region who want to exhibit as a pair. The exhibition, working under the title *Pairs/Peers*, runs from 18 December 2026 to 31 January 2027, with an opening evening on Friday 18 December.

The gallery is looking to select 6–8 pairs through an open submission process. There are no strict discipline requirements — painters, sculptors, writers, and practitioners from any creative field are welcome to apply together.

To apply, submit in writing:

• Both artists' names
• Your artistic disciplines
• A brief description of your concept and space requirements

Key conditions to note:

• Artists cover the cost of producing their own work
• The gallery takes 30% commission on any sales
• A participation fee of $200 per pair is payable during the exhibition (not upfront)
• Works must be exhibition-ready and delivered to the gallery on Monday 14 December 2026
• Transit to and from the gallery is the artists' responsibility
