Van Der Plas Gallery
Open call for a group exhibition exploring perception and urban/rural environments, open to all media, at a New York City gallery.
Around, Above, Below is a group exhibition at Van Der Plas Gallery on Manhattan's Lower East Side, exploring how we perceive and move through urban environments, rural landscapes, and the spaces in between. The show invites artists to translate these everyday perspectives into artworks that deepen our understanding of shared human experience.
Artists working in all media are encouraged to submit — painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, installation, mixed media, digital art, and experimental practices are all welcome. The curatorial team is looking for work that demonstrates originality, conceptual depth, and a distinctive artistic voice.
Van Der Plas Gallery runs an ongoing Open Call Programme, meaning submissions received now will be considered for Around, Above, Below as well as future exhibitions. Applications not selected for the current show may still be reviewed for upcoming gallery programming.
