The Auckland Festival Trust
Fixed-term producer role at Auckland Arts Festival, delivering the Toitū Te Reo programme and Whānau Day activities for the 2027 festival.
Auckland Arts Festival (AAF) is looking for a Producer Kaiwhakarite Hōtaka to join their team for the 2027 festival season. This is a full-time, fixed-term role based in the Auckland CBD, running from mid-November 2026 through to the end of March 2027.
In this role, you'll work closely with artists, partners, and the wider festival team to plan, coordinate, and deliver the established Toitū Te Reo programme — a key part of AAF's identity. You'll also take the lead on curating the popular Whānau Day activities, responding to the artistic brief for that programme.
As a core member of the Programming team, you'll collaborate closely with the Artistic Director and Head of Programming on content programming, project delivery, and identifying production requirements. Strong communication skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to stay cool under pressure in a busy festival environment are all essential.
AAF is New Zealand's premier annual arts festival, bringing together local and international artists for 18 days each March to celebrate culture, creativity, and the energy of Tāmaki Makaurau.
To apply, email a CV and covering letter to hr@aaf.co.nz by 5.00pm on 16 October 2026. Note that interviews may begin before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged. Only applicants with the right to work in New Zealand are eligible to apply.
